An amber warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail is in place in 11 regions in Central and southeastern Bulgaria. For the rest of the country there is a yellow warning.
In places in these regions the amounts of rain expected are 50-100 litres per sq. m., as well as a considerable rise in river levels throughout the country in the coming days.
