Control along border with Greece tightened over wild animal diseases

The Bulgarian authorities have tightened control along the border with Greece over infected wild animals. The risk of disease is highest with wild boars. The transportation of meat, animals and fodder is under strict control.

Humans are the principal carriers of the virus, especially with swine fever, that is why measures have been taken to disinfect incoming vehicles at Zlatograd border checkpoint.
