Bulgaria to deny entry to citizens of non-EU countries who are not allowed to enter or reside in Schengen countries

Bulgaria will deny entry to citizens of non-EU countries who are not allowed to enter or reside in the Schengen countries as of August 1 this year, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior announced. The same restrictions will be valid in Romania as well after the decision of the EU Council. The measure is part of the remaining regulations of the Schengen legislation that nave to be applied by the two countries. Citizens of third countries who reside in Bulgaria without the necessary permission or are denied entry in Bulgaria will be taken out of the country, the announcement further reads.
