The Bulgarian Industrial Association presented today a brief analysis of the foreign investments in Bulgaria between 2007 and 2017. A strong tumble of the foreign investments was registered in the recent years, the analysis reads. The share of the domestic investments in the total volume of the investments increased sharply and the foreign investments in this country dwindled significantly. In 2017 the total volume of the investments in Bulgaria amounted to BGN 18.9 billion (EUR 9.66 billion). The foreign investments amounted to BGN 1.8 billion (EUR 971 million) only, i.e. 10% of the total amount. In 2007 98.6% of all investments in Bulgaria were foreign investments (BGN 17.9 billion/EUR 9.15 billion). In 2017 the money sent by Bulgarian emigrants exceeded the amount of foreign direct investments in this country, the Bulgarian Industrial Association announced.
