Deputy Premier Zaharieva meets with President of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Francesco Rocca

We appreciate highly the work of the Bulgarian Red Cross at a local and international level and will continue to support the organization that could serve as a humanitarian hub for the region, the President of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Francesco Rocca said at a meeting with Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva. Deputy Premier Zaharieva pointed out that Bulgaria has been providing prompt humanitarian aid to its neighbors. Ekaterina Zaharieva supported the joint project of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for construction of disaster emergency warehouse in Bulgaria that will serve the whole region. The Bulgarian Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are also planning to open a school for training of paramedics from the Balkan countries.
