The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan is the basis for much more active interaction between the two countries in areas of mutual interest. This was what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov agreed on.

The President pointed out that for Bulgaria Azerbaijan was an important factor for the successful implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor which will contribute to the diversification of the supply of energy resources not only for this country but also for the entire region. Radev and Mamediarov agreed that Bulgaria and Azerbaijan should benefit from their geopolitical position by actively participating in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects between Europe and Asia.
