“Regulating the activities of religious denominations in Bulgaria should lead to the creation of a stable social environment for the clergy and to a firm commitment by the institutions to ensure they receive decent wages,” said President Rumen Radev at a meeting with Chief Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.

During the meeting, which took place at the initiative of the Chief Mufti’s Office, the two stressed that the drafting of the legislation on the activities of religious denominations in Bulgaria should take place in constructive dialogue with representatives of the traditional religious communities. The President was adamant that no politicization of any religious denomination should be admitted.
