Emblematic buildings illuminated in blue on World Diabetes Day

On World Diabetes Day, emblematic buildings, including the National Palace of Culture downtown Sofia, will be illuminated in blue - the color of the campaign "Together against Diabetes".

In Bulgaria, 600,000 people suffer from this disease, as 2,000 out of them are children. The age of children with diabetes is constantly falling, with the youngest patient being a 50-day-old baby. Every year, more than 8,000 people die from complications of diabetes in this country.
