Bulgaria becomes full member of International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance

Photo: mfa.bg

Bulgaria joined the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance as a full member at the plenary meeting of the organization taking place in Ferrara, Italy, November 27-29, which approved the country’s accession.

Thus Bulgaria is now the 32nd country member of the Alliance, which unites countries committed to strengthening, advancing and promoting Holocaust education, and countering anti-Semitism and hate speech.

Bulgaria’s membership will afford the country a platform for reinforcing the visibility, on a global scale, of the act of rescue of Bulgarian Jews during World War II.
