The Belogradchik Rocks natural formation was conferred the special prize, in the “Bulgarians’ choice” category, at the annual tourism awards ceremony. The award in the “Spirit of Bulgaria” category went to the open-air ethnographic museum in Gabrovo Etura.

Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova laid emphasis on the good results in tourism – 31 percent more tourists in the past three years, and 38 percent more revenues in the sector. She pointed out that these results are only made possible when we stride confidently towards the aim we are pursuing – to make Bulgaria a year-round holiday destination.
