Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Mladen Marinov and the renowned Swiss forensic scientist Professor Pierre Margot unveiled at the Academy of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior a modern forensic laboratory for training purposes. The laboratory is based on the model of leading European forensic training centers. Its huge capacity and modern equipment allow the fulfillment of comprehensive forensic research in line with the best international practices. The project is part of the thematic fund Security of the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Programme co-financed by the Swiss government with nearly CHF 9.8 million. So far a total of 11 projects have been fulfilled under the fund.
