15 million euro allocated for promoting Bulgaria-Turkey cross-border cooperation until 2020

15 million euro is the sum allocated under the Bulgaria-Turkey Cross-border Cooperation Programme until 2020. The funding is primarily for proposals connected with the environment and sustainable tourism.

42 projects submitted by municipal and state entities and NGOs have been approved. This was announced at a meeting of the cross-border programme monitoring committee, taking place in the Bulgarian town of Pomorie on the Black Sea. The aim is for the projects to stimulate local businesses.
