Between January and October 2018 Bulgaria’s trade balance was negative to the tune of EUR 1.829 billion (3.5% of the country’s gross domestic product), whereas in the same period last year the trade balance was negative and amounted to EUR 251.9 million (0.5% of the GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank announced. Between January and October 2018 exports increased with EUR 474.2 million (2.1%) as compared to the same period last year to EUR 22.872 billion (43.3% of the GDP). Meanwhile, imports climbed EUR 2. 051 billion (9.1%) as compared to January-October 2017.
