The National Association of Merchants and Carriers of Fuel announced that the small fuel traders will launch protests this week to demand cancellation of the new Fuels Act. According to the association, 35 violations of Bulgarian and European legislation were made in the new Fuels Act. The organizers are planning to block all border checkpoints and motorways until the National Assembly revises the new act. It was adopted in July last year and envisaged special requirements to merchants of oil and oil products. According to the new act, the minimum capital of the large fuel traders must be to the tune of EUR 500,000 and the small fuel merchants must have a minimum capital of EUR 10,000.
