Bulgaria’s Police dismantles network for smuggling and distribution of drugs in South Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s Police dismantled a network for smuggling and distribution of narcotics in the town of Haskovo, South Bulgaria. 46.5 kilograms of heroin and 13 kilograms of amphetamine were seized during the operation of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior. Seven people were detained. It became clear during the operation that the heroin was transported from Turkey to Bulgaria by a cargo vehicle. The drugs are estimated at EUR 2.5 million.
