The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has announced that Bulgaria will be hosting the men’s Olympic qualification tournament on August 9 and 10.
Bulgaria’s national team will be vying for the first place with Brazil, Olympic champion from Rio 2016. Besides Brazil, Bulgaria’s group also includes the teams of Egypt and Puerto Rico. The winner will qualify directly for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. If the Bulgarian teams fail to qualify at the tournament in their own country, they will have one more chance to qualify at the European qualifiers.
