Rights of Bulgarians in UK will be guaranteed in case of Hard Brexit

The rights of the Bulgarians in the United Kingdom will be guaranteed in case of a Hard Brexit as well, Vassil Asenov, head of Labor and Social Affairs Office with the Bulgarian Embassy in London told the Bulgarian National Radio. The Bulgarian citizens who reside in Great Britain by March 29, 2019 must apply for a settled status. The new emigrant legislation of the UK will be enforced in the beginning of 2021. According to expectations, the Bulgarians will not be required tourist visas after the enforcement of the new migrant law in Great Britain. The Labor and Social Affairs Office with the Bulgarian Embassy in London will launch information campaign in February. A Consulate General in Edinburgh (Scotland) will be opened as well.
