350 competitors from 42 countries to take part in Strandja 2019 International Boxing Tournament

Around 350 competitors from 42 countries are to take part in the jubilee 70th edition of the International Boxing Tournament Strandja 2019 for men and women, from the 14th to the 19th of February in Sofia.  

Bulgaria will be taking part with 32 boxers. Only Cuba and Ireland out of the leading boxing nations will not be participating in the tournament. The US team is arriving with a delegation of 42. The participants include a number of Olympic and world champions.

All holders of the Strandja cup in the entire history of the tournament have been invited to the jubilee. Strandja has been organized in Bulgaria since 1950 which makes it the oldest boxing tournament in Europe
