Bulgaria’s cabinet proposes visa facilitation regime

Foreign nationals with valid permits for continuous, long-term or permanent residence in Bulgaria can enter this country without a visa, the amendment to the Foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria Act reads. The amendment will facilitate the residence of highly-qualified and seasonal workers in Bulgaria. According to the current legislation, when the foreigners change their employers during the period of stay they have to apply for a new visa for long-term residence. The new act regulates the status of residence of unaccompanied foreign children through issuance of permit for continuous residence in Bulgaria until these children come of age.
