The Permanent Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations in New York received a verbal note that following the ratification of the Prespa Agreement the Republic of Macedonia was officially renamed to Republic of North Macedonia (North Macedonia). Names such as Macedonia, Republic of Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia or the acronym FYROM will be no longer used, the verbal note on the new constitutional name of North Macedonia further reads.
