Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva discussed, with Nasser Kamel, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean, opportunities for joint projects with the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, an organization whose chairmanship-in-office is currently held by Bulgaria.

The two discussed cooperation opportunities for cleaning the Black Sea of plastic waste, a sphere in which the Union for the Mediterranean has good expertise.

“It is the ambition of the Bulgarian chairmanship-in-office to work for turning the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation into a project organization,” Minister Zaharieva said.
