Bulgaria’s Supreme Administrative Court repealed the decision of this country’s Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov not to carry out an environmental impact assessment of Pirin National Park. According to the Bulgarian magistrates, the environmental impact assessment must be carried out, because it would shape the framework of the future development of investments in Pirin. Bulgaria’s Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov said that the layers of the environment ministry will study the motifs of the court and then they will decide whether to appeal. The lawsuit was initiated in relation with a complaint of several environmental organizations and individuals.
