According to conservative estimates of the National Revenue Agency, Bulgaria loses over EUR 250 million per year from unpaid taxes, this country’s Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov said. Minister Goranov promised that the authorities will use all available instruments to capture hidden incomes. Minister Goranov gave some examples: in their fight against gray economy the Bulgarian tax agents had to dance horo chain dances in a village community center, or sail on a nude cruise. People often avoid declaring the whole turnover in the hotel and catering industry, amusement places and retail trade, Minister Goranov added.
