In its annual report, the US State Department once again levels criticism at the judicial system in Bulgaria.
Corruption, inefficiency of the system and a lack of accountability are cited as persisting core problems, trust in the legal system continues low, and the opinion is widespread that magistrates are susceptible to political pressure.
