In February 2019 the number of unemployed Bulgarians registered at the employment offices decreased with 2.1% (25,600 people) as compared to the previous month to 205,013, the National Employment Agency announced. In February unemployment fell with 0.8% as compared to the same month last year to 6.2%. The job vacancies in February amounted to 14,875. 84.7% of them were in the private sector. 26% of all job vacancies were in the processing industry, 17% were in the hotel and restaurant industry and 12% were in the repair of automobiles and motorcycles.
