Vice champion in hammer throw at the Youth Olympics and the 2018 European under 18 championship Valentin Andreev topped the world rank list after his participation in the competition in Greece on 23 March.
17-year old Andreev threw 77.80 m. (5-kg. hammer), a result that earned him the gold at the national championship in Thessaloniki, Greece, in which he was invited to take part by the Greek side.
In 2018 the athlete set a national record throwing the 5-kg. hammer 83.09 m. He also holds the national record for 6-kg. hammer with 73.64 m.
