“Egypt plays a key role in the region in the fight against terrorism, organized crime and illegal migration, that is why cooperation with Egypt is important to our national and to European security,” President Radev told reporters in the Arab Republic of Egypt, where he is paying an official visit at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. President Radev pointed out that Egypt is Bulgaria’s biggest trade and economic partner for the Middle East and the whole of Africa. The visit will focus on the intensification of trade, economic and investment cooperation, and partnership in culture, education and tourism.

Representatives of dozens of Bulgarian companies will take part in a business forum in Cairo within the frameworks of the official visit by the Bulgarian head of state.
