Over 7,000 foreign nationals received hunting trophies in Bulgaria in 2018

The revenues from organized hunting tourism in Bulgaria exceeded EUR 3.8 million in 2018, this country’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Rumen Porozhanov announced during the opening of the 25th International Exhibition Nature, Hunting, Fishing in the city of Plovdiv. Last year revenues from hunting tourism increased with EUR 460,000 as compared to the previous year which was due to the increase in the population of game in Bulgaria and its good trophy qualities. In 2018 nearly 7,000 foreign nationals received hunting trophies. The number of foreigners participating in organized hunting tourism in Bulgaria in 2018 increased with 1,500 as compared to 2017.
