Saudi-Italian consortium to build new gas interconnector with Serbia

The Saudi-Italian consortium Arkad is to build the gas interconnector with Serbia, Bulgartransgaz has announced. The selection was made by public tender, in which three consortiums took part with offers.

Arkad offered the lowest price for the implementation of all activities with an admissible deadline of no more than 250 calendar days, and implementation in full - 615 calendar days. The contractor shall carry out the supply of materials and equipment, investment planning up to the workings draft phase, the construction and commissioning of the extension of the new pipe which will run parallel to the main northern pipeline to the Bulgaria-Serbia border, reads the announcement by the Bulgarian gas operator.
