Chinese construction company to expand Varna port

The large Chinese construction company China Machinery Engineering Corporation  (CMEC) has signed a EUR 120 million contract with Logistic Center Varna single-stock company for joint development of a new infrastructure at Bulgaria’s biggest port- Varna Port. This is the first port project of the Chinese company in Bulgaria. It should be completed in three years and will be fulfilled as part of China’s initiative "One Belt, One Road". The project is expected to boost significantly the capacity for cargo handling at this Bulgarian port.
