Eighty tons of North Macedonian lamb with unclear origin stamps is flooding the Bulgarian market, the National Association of Sheep Breeders and Goat Breeders in Bulgaria warned. The meat is 20% cheaper as compared to the Bulgarian meat, but can be dangerous, the association contends. The meat comes from a slaughterhouse in Kavadarci, but is imported in Bulgaria from Greece. The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has not yet checked the central storehouses in Sofia, Plovdiv and Dobrich, where the lamb meat was delivered.
