Bulgaria allocates the biggest share of budget money for fire protection among EU members

In 2017, Bulgaria has allocated the largest share of its state budget for fire safety among other EU countries, Eurostat data show. This country has spent 108 million euros on fire protection, or 21 euros per capita. After Bulgaria come Latvia, Lithuania and Romania, spending an average of 0.7% at the backdrop of an EU average level of 0.4%. The last places are taken by Denmark and Malta, spending 0.1 per cent and 0.2 per cent of their budgets.
