The ultramarathon organized by Krasimir Georgiev started from the coastal city of Varna. Krasi Georgiev undertook the challenge to run over 1,200 kilometers along the route of the Pan-European Transport Corridor 8. The project should connect Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Albania. Georgiev will run from the Black Sea to the Adriatic Sea through 20 towns and will cover a distance of nearly 100 kilometers a day. The final is on May 25 in Durrës (Albania) where the three Premiers Boyko Borissov, Zoran Zaev and Edi Rama will meet. The motto of Bulgaria’s ultramarathon runner Krasimir Georgiev is Connectivity. He wants to unite the three Balkan countries with this marathon and emphasize the importance of the project for Transport Corridor 8.
