In the run-up to elections for European Parliament, President Rumen Radev met with the Central Electoral Commission administration.

President Radev discussed the need to reduce the number of invalid votes, security protection of machine voting and of the personal data of Bulgarians. For there to be fair elections, Rumen Radev called for reducing the number of invalid ballots because they substitute the real election results.

The President also demanded guarantees of the election rights of Bulgarians living in other countries, the formation of a good working environment for observers and control at all levels and all stages – during counting, processing of the ballots, filling in of the protocols, processing and aggregation of the results.
