The football team of Lokomotiv Plovdiv won the Bulgarian Cup for the first time in its history after winning 1:0 against its big rival Botev Plovdiv at the final. The game was played in front of some 20,000 spectators at the National Stadium "Vasil Levski" in Sofia. Both teams had the chance to win in the clash but Lokomotiv Plovdiv managed to realize one of its opportunities and grabbed the cup.
