Bulgarian students have won five medals at the European Physics Olympiad - one gold, two silver and two bronze. The Olympiad took place in the period May 31 May – June 4 in the Latvian capital of Riga. Over 180 students from 36 countries participated in the competition. 12-grader Georgi Aleksandrov from the "Paisii Hilendarski" School of Mathematics in Sofia won the gold medal.
