The prices of real estate in Bulgaria and the EU have increased significantly in the past five years, data of Eurostat about the period 2014-2018 show. The property prices in the EU rose 15% on average and prices of real estates in the Eurozone saw 11% increase. Estonia ranks first in the ranking, where property prices increased with 83%. In 2010 property prices in this country fell with another 10%. According to Eurostat, 7 in 10 EU citizens possess own properties. In Bulgaria and Romania nearly 97% of the citizens possess real estate properties. Germany ranks last in this ranking. Only 51% of the German citizens possess own properties.
