GERB party supports Manfred Weber for President of the European Commission

In Brussels, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said GERB continued to stand behind Manfred Weber's candidacy for next European Commission President. The PM added that the party also had a plan B and mentioned that other leaders had sought consultations. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov participated in the European Council meeting on June 20 and June 21 in Brussels, where heads of states or governments discuss the new EU Strategic Agenda for the period 2019-2024, the enlargement of the European Union and other topics.
