The Bulgaria-Russia relations have not deteriorated, this country’s Premier Boyko Borissov said after the meeting with Russia’s Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov. Russia would participate at the consortium to build the Belene nuclear power plant, Minister Manturov said. We think that the best option for the Belene NPP is to be built by an international consortium, the Russian guest went on to say. Premier Borissov reminded that Bulgaria fully paid for the nuclear reactors for Belene NPP and added that it is important that the procedures for the constructions of the nuclear power plant be transparent, clear and precise. The competition between the China National Nuclear Corporation, the Korean Hydro Atomic Corporation and the other participants who want to build Belene NPP is severe, Premier Borissov added.
