Bulgarian Air Forces celebrate today the Day of Aviation. The date was not chosen by chance, as on this day in 1912 the first combat flight in Bulgaria took place. This was accomplished by Lieutenant Radul Milkov.

The memory of the killed pilots in wartime and peace was honored by offering wreaths and flowers in front of the Monument to the Pilot in Sofia. The Krumovo Aviation Museum will mark the day with open doors.
