The government debt in 2020 can not exceed EUR 1.124 billion, the 2020 draft budget published on the web site of the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance shows, the Bulgarian National Radio informs. For the first time in many years, the budget is balanced, i.e. without a deficit or a surplus. According to forecasts, EUR 23.92 billion will be collected and spent next year. The government debt at the end of 2019 will be under 20% of the gross domestic product.
