Bulgaria is continuing negotiations with 5 companies for the construction of Belene NPP, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova said. 13 applications have been submitted so far, it was reported. 7 are for participation as strategic investor, 4 are for a minority stake in the project company and 2 are for the supply of equipment. The shortlist of the companies we want to negotiate with includes: Rosatom; CNNC; Korea Hydro & Nuclear Powe; Framatom and General Electric. The last two have specific proposals for financing their activities. Each of the companies can negotiate with the others in the short list, the Minister added. It is expected that offers will be submitted by the end of April or the beginning of May 2020.
