139,000 Bulgarians applied for settled status in Great Britain

139,000 Bulgarians have already applied for a settled status in Great Britain after Brexit, data of the British Ministry of Interior show. Over 90% of all Bulgarians living in the UK have applied for settled status, Bulgaria's Minstry of Foreign Affairs announces in a report on the fulfillment of the Action Plan related to the Agreement on the withdrawal of Great Britain from the EU. Legislative amendments that would allow the British nationals residing in Bulgaria to use IDs issued from the Bulgarian authorities for up to one year after the end of the transition period (December 31, 2020) were submitted to the National Assembly. After that period, they must receive new personal documents.
