One of Bulgaria's ruling parties calls for ending state of emergecy

One of the ruling parties in Bulgaria has disagreed with the government's motives for extending the state of emergency declared in the country until 13 May. The VMRO party believes that these motives not well justified and that severe restrictions should not be extended beyond the end of April. There are no analyses, forecasts and strategies about how long and why all Bulgarian citizens should self-restrict, and all economic initiative is virtually stopped. It is unclear to VMRO why no smart analysis and strategy have been conducted given the escalating unemployment and income collapse, which would increase the protection of vulnerable social groups, MP Iskren Veselinov told the Bulgarian National Radio.
