It is 16 years today since the bus crash in the river Lim in Serbia when 12 Bulgarian children were killed.

The tragedy took place while the children were returning from a school trip to Dubrovnik. The driver lost control of the bus, which plunged into a ravine swollen after heavy rain, and sank within minutes.

A memorial, depicting broken angel wings, was put up on the spot where the crash took place on the bank of Lim River between Serbia and Montenegro in memory of the children who lost their lives.
