Bulgaria and UAE join efforts in fight against Covid-19

As a token of good cooperation between Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates, 32 tons of vegetables, meat and dairy products, provided by Bulgarian companies were flown to Abu Dhabi by two airplanes.

The initiative was organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. In exchange, the UAE is providing Bulgaria with 15 tons of medical supplies – masks, gloves, disinfectants and clothes, as well as food. At the airport Bulgarian Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov discussed, with Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, bilateral cooperation in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Minister Karanikolov confirmed Bulgaria’s commitment to reinforce bilateral relations and coordinate the efforts to contain Covid-19 with the UAE
