The Bulgarian cabinet adopted a Programme for support of the Bulgarian communities in Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Ukraine, Moldova and of citizens of North Macedonia with Bulgarian self-awareness. Organizations of Bulgarian communities which registered under the local law will receive financial assistance from the state budget between 2020 and 2024. The financial support aims to expand their activities towards preserving their Bulgarian identity and strengthen their public presence in these countries.
