Wizz Air airline will be notified that it will not be able to operate Varna-London flights at this stage. This is what the chief of the National Crisis Staff stated at the regular Covid-19 briefing this morning.

Earlier this week, Wizz Air announced it would resume its Varna-London flights three times a week starting April 16.

Yesterday, Varna Mayor Ivan Portnih sent a letter to the National Crisis Staff, calling on cancelling the flights of Wizz Air to Varna airport until the end of the state of emergency declared in Bulgaria. Residents of Bulgaria's seaside capital are worried about a possible escalation of the disease after the resumption of flights, given the complicated situation with Covid-19 in the UK.
The flight scheduled for this morning was cancelled at the last moment. Yet, nearly 40 passengers were already allowed inside the airport terminal before the decision for cancelling the flight was announced.
