Two-month-old baby is the youngest patient with Covid-19 in Bulgaria

The number of Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 865. There are 671 active cases of the novel coronavirus. 40 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, of whom 16 were admitted to hospital. The number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases increased by 4.8% as compared to the previous day. 15 cases of Covid-19 were registered in Sofia in the past 24 hours. 9 cases were registered in Vidin, 5 in Stara Zagora and 4 in Burgas. 3 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Haskovo. 1 person  in Ruse, 1 in Gabrovo, 1 in Blagoevgrad and 1 in Sliven tested positive for coronavirus. A two-month-old baby from Burgas and a nine-year-old child from the village of Panicherevo were diagnosed with Covid-19.

69 Bulgarian medics are infected with the novel coronavirus, which is 8% of all Covid-19 cases in this country. All medics are suffering mild symptoms.

Due to the shortage of medical staff in the Danube city of Vidin, some patients are redirected to the town of Lom.

A total of 153 Bulgarians have recovered from Covid-19 already, which is 17.7% of all cases. 510 people in Sofia were diagnosed with Covid-19 so far. We have already prepared a plan for loosening the measures and we are following the Covid-19 situation in the other countries, the head of the National Crisis Headquarters General Ventsislav Mutafchiyski said at the morning briefing.
