Suspects in attack against investigative journalist arrested

Members of a criminal group who were involved in a number of attacks and cases of physical injury have been arrested during a special operation of the Sofia Police Directorate and the Prosecutor's Office.

According to unofficial information received by BNR, among the arrested there are two people suspected of involvement in the attack against investigative journalist Slavi Angelov. Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Chief. Commissioner Ivaylo Ivanov and Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev are also at the spot.

We recall that editor-in-chief of the 168 Hours newspaper and investigative journalist Slavi Angelov was attacked and beaten with metal objects on March 17 in front of his home in the capital city. The main version of investigators is that the attack was related to the journalist's work
